Do you teach children how
to do creative writing?
No, we are exclusively for adults who write children's
books and stories. Well-supervised children are welcome to come to
our author talks, but the meetings, workshops and critique groups are
for adults only.
What do I get for my membership fee?
For your $50.00 membership fee, you get discounted
entry to the Kiwi Write4Kidz weekend workshops and
Write Good Stuff evening workshops, a monthly
newsletter giving you reports on publishers,
upcoming events, interviews with authors and a mass
of other information, and you get an introduction to
your local critique group.
Can I just get the newsletter?
You can get the newsletter by paying the full joining
fee, which is very competitive.
I live outside of Auckland but would really like
to join a group like this. What can I do?
Join up and you’ll receive the monthly newsletter
and hear about events that are happening around the
country plus get up to date information about New
Zealand’s and Australia’s publishers. Once
a year we have workshop held in Auckland,
which you may be interested in attending. Once we
have a few members in your area we can start up a
critique group, with our support.
Do you run any courses on writing for children?
We do hold workshops for children's writers on particular
aspects of writing, for which there is an additional charge. You can
learn a huge amount from the visiting speakers and your fellow writers
in the group.
How do I join?
Simply fill in and print off the membership form
here, and post it with your cheque for NZ$50.00
to Kiwi Write4Kidz, P.O. 89 Matakana 0948,
New Zealand.
