For the past fifteen years I have become very interested in writing having self published several children’s stories including a series of books ‘Dance a Poem’ these books come with a CD and children act out the poems.

I go to people's homes, often dressed up and keep children happy with my varied activities. I read, sing along and play games with the children. In my big bag of tricks I have puppets which work in with theme of the day.

My latest publication is a picture book entitled ‘Nine Days to Christmas’ this story will be the basis of my dance pupil’s Christmas Concert. I have lots of stories on paper ready to go to publishers. Among them are stories of yesteryear. I feel it is good for children to know what life used to be like. I am fortunate to have been given a collection of ‘Story Time Books’ with features children’s stories from all over the world.

I have attended dozens of courses and workshops relating to children in NZ and overseas. I attended and conducted classes at the DaCi (dance and the Child International) conference in Finland and recently did stories and movement with Japanese children at my step son’s English School in Japan.

I love reading and doing activities with children, probably because I’m a big kid myself.
