Leonie Agnew is a former copywriter and currently works as a primary school teacher in South Auckland. She owns a ridiculous amount of children's books and could start her own library. She loves dogs, kids, chocolate and writing her own bio, because she gets to talk about herself in the third person without sounding ridiculous.

Well, not very ridiculous.

In 2010 she won the Storylines Tom Fitzgibbon Award for her first junior fiction novel. Super Finn is the story of an ordinaryboy who decides to turn himself into a superhero. Impossible? Not with a sidekick like the amazing Brain, a boy who looks small and thinks big … very big.

Together, the two boys make a list of everything needed to become a superhero, including; superpowers, an outfit, arch enemies, a hideout and … oh yeah, saving someone's life. They work their way through the criteria, even attempting a few hair-raising experiments to develop super strength, only to discover that heroism is harder than it looks. One by one, the boys' schemes unravel with chaotic results and when disaster looms, Finn is forced to make a decision. Can an ordinary boy save the day … or was he never ordinary to begin with?
