'The Golden Scarab' is a children's fiction novel set in the small town of Warkworth and picturesque village of Point Wells. A group of young children explore an exhibition of artefacts at their local museum and stumble upon an international plot that is linked with the Egyptian museum in Cairo.
It's aimed at the intermediate year (10-13yrs) age group who enjoy adventure thrillers and offers an insight into the mysterious world of ancient Egyptian civilisation.
Lindy has worked as a journalist for the past fifteen years on various New Zealand magazines. She has mostly been involved with feature writing and also worked in the newsroom and on-air at Radio Pacific.
Having a background in journalism as well as a speech and drama qualification has helped Lindy to become a confident and passionate story-teller.
She is a mother of three teenagers and believes that much of the research for her characters is derived from observing her children and their friends.
She has completed three picture
books for pre-school children and is currently
working on her second novel, a sequel to 'The Golden
Scarab.
